Howto: Enable crossfading of tracks in Windows XP/Vista Media Player
Enabling the crossfading feature in your windows media player will eliminate the gaps from songs by slowly overlapping to the next tracks. To enable crossfading feature, open your windows media player then click on View->Enhancements->Crossfading and Auto Volume Leveling.

Click on Turn on Crossfading and adjust the number of seconds to overlap on the next track or song.

Now enjoy the non-stop music, thanks to the windows media player’s crossfading feature, you don’t have to wait anymore for a few seconds to hear your next favorite song in queue.
